About Pirate's Place
Main Floor Unit
Pirate's Place is now in perfect condition after being restored from Hurricane Dorian. Located on Great Guana Cay, on a hillside, you can see The Sea of Abaco and views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the large outside porch where there are stunning sunsets. This home is located only a 10 minute drive with golf cart from the Settlement. Beautiful, white ocean beaches are only minutes away, at Nipper's on the Atlantic Ocean, and at Grabber's on The Sea of Abaco.
You may rent both units, which will give you 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Or you can rent only the upstairs main unit (4 beds/2 baths), or only the lower guest unit (2 beds/1 bath).
Each floor has separate outdoor access. Golf carts are the main source of transportation on the island. If you need to make arrangements for rental of a golf cart prior to arrival, Dive Guana has golf carts and boats for rent.
Ground Floor Unit
This charming ground floor unit offers 2 beds/1 bath. It is fully equipped as a stand alone rental. It can also be rented together with the upstairs main unit.
Dock Slip available for renters
The dock slip is for a boat max 32’ in length and ‘16 in width. It’s a short walk to the house.
General Information
If you follow the dirt road below the house toward the Sea of Abaco, you come to a pretty community area with benches, our dock and a little beach.
If you walk across the main street to the hilltop, you can walk down the road to the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy the view from there. This area is rocky, so there is no beach access.
Important Information
Upon booking, we ask that you let us know how many persons you are, and the time of your arrival so we can have our caretaker meet you at the dock and take you to the house. We highly recommend making arrangements to rent a golf cart (diveguana.com).
- * The water is treated by a Pelican Water cleaning system, so you should be able to drink it. Or you can buy bottled water at the grocery store.
- * Unfortunately, this home is not suitable for infants/toddlers (under 2 years) or people in a wheel chair.
- * NO pets allowed.
- * NO smoking in the house.
- * NO parties or events
- * We're trying to grow a lawn, so please don't park or drive on the grass.
- * The water is collected rain. Please CONSERVE WATER!
- * Please keep an eye on children at all time. It is very tempting to climb the rails...
- * Please treat our home as you would like someone to treat your home.
